QUEENS HOTEL

The Queens Hotel series is a focused body of architectural fine art photography documenting one historic building in striking black and white. There is a spectrum of vagabond energy that has accumulated over the 120 years that the Queens Hotel has existed. My approach was to capture the opulence and the grit of that spirit; it’s still a beautiful hotel. Through careful attention to line, texture, and light, these images treat the hotel as both subject and symbol; a study of permanence, decline, and character in a single structure.
